The clay oval was in excellent shape with plenty of moisture and lots of bite.

First up was the Micro "B" class. Yes, this year at the Bullring they have decided to run a beginners class for the micros. Six cars took to the speedway for their 15 lap feature. The two dominate cars of the night were 51x of Richie Statzer and the 59 of Rick Jones with Statzer coming out on top for his !1st feature win. Followed closely to the line was Jones, the 71 of Terry Flack , 61 of Ron Flack and the 40 of Robin Fain rounded out the top five.

In the www.gadgetsprints.com feature event, the blue 29 of Jeff Rairdon was pretty much the class of the field winning both heats and feature. The 01 of Chip Allison and 5 of Scott Krueger made it a 3 car battle with Raidon coming out on top, the 7 of Joel Dye was forth and 5th went to the 69 Boo Boo Dunning. The 83 of Randy Alexander had to be the hard charger as he drove his car hard lap after lap only to end up taking an early bath in the turn 4 water hole, The 38 of Bill Whitney rounded out the field.

Feature #3 was the RV Swapshop Micro "A". With a stellar field of top micro drivers like Leonard, Page and Evans this was going to be perhaps the best race of the evening. The 00 of Greg Leonard seemed to always get the jump in the 2 stroke but the 4 stroke Honda of Cliff Evan #17 was quick to recover and it was on. Like two bulls in a pasture full of cows the two locked up in a ferocious battle with young Evan Page making sure that those two knew he was a Bull also. The battle at the Bullring was hot and heavy lap after lap, nose to tail, side by side, swapping the lead back and forth. When the dust settled it was the 17 of Cliff Evans taking his 1st win of the season. Greg Leonard 2nd, Jerrid Leonard top 3. The 35 of William Brannan Sr was 4th and Ivan Page in the 5th spot. Early contender,Evan Page, with a late race issue relegated him to the 6th position with 51x of Justin Hunt and 60 of William Brannan Jr. rounding out the field.

Last race of the night was the always exciting Wingless Triple X Southern States Lightning Sprints. After a two year hideous Rob Feeney in the beautifully prepared white and green Bailey jumped out quickly to lead the early laps of the race. Right behind him in a side by side and even sometimes 3 wide battle here at the Bullring, the race between the 2JR Sheldon Kinser Jr, 92 Darrin Davis and the 2 Mark Rider was as good as it gets. Davis making calculating moves to get by Kinser then Kinser doing classic slide jobs on Davis. Feeney out front and catfishing around the huggy pole was holding his line not knowing the ferocious battle that was inches off of his back bumper. Davis up on the rim drove to the bottom under Kinser for the 2nd spot bringing Mark Rider with him. At the half way mark it was Feeney, Davis, Rider, and Kinser. Rider making a bold move to get around Davis for 2nd only to have Davis diamond the next corner to get back by . Davis nudged under the 13 of Feeney off of two, side by side into 3 taking the lead on the exit of 4th and went on to capture his 1st feature win. Feeney driving a steady race was able to stay just ahead of Rider that tried every move in the book to get around the 13. Kinser came back from a late race spin to finish 4th knowing that every point counts, has his eyes set on the new Triple X chassis that will be given away to the Southern States Lightning Sprint Series Champion. The 81 of Scott Krueger 5th.

The racing was good at the Bullring and the staff rolled with the show getting fans out by 10:00 pm...Next race for the Sunshine Micro Sprints, Gadget Sprints and Triple X Lightning Sprints will be March 26 early practice will be at 4:00, drivers meeting at 5:30, then controlled hot laps at 6:00, Lightning Sprint qualifying at 6:30, National Anthem at 6:50 racing at 7:00pm sharp...

POSTING RACE RESULTS MADE EASY - READ BELOW

We hope that this will become an important part of your club's communications and promotions.

Qualifying individuals will be provided an e-mail address that will allow their club to post news directly to the Internet immediately. This should make it much easier to get timely news and information out to the mini sprint racing community.

It's easy. Just type in a meaningful subject line and your race results and click send. That's it, your information will be posted to the web immediately.

To get your e-mail address to begin posting your clubs news and information, email sfasse-at-fozmarketing.com
